The Japanese Wood-Print, Kyoto, 12mo (5 x 7 1/4 in - 13 x 18.5 cm), not dated but believed to be ca 1956, pamphlet, paper wraps with paste on title on front wrap, thin rice type paper in folded pages, paste on publishers information inside the back wrap, English and Japanese text, 4 folded pages (8 pages total). The pamphlet has 8 numbered pages of English text (5 pages) and illustrations with English & Japanese captions (3 pages). These are followed by 4 pages of Japanese text. This is a brief bilingual discussion of the history of the Japanese woodblock print and the implements and methods of production.

An almost identical version of this pamphlet was found in a book (Process of Printing Wood Engraving (Mokuhan Suritate Junjo) published by Unso-do published ca 1956. For more information on that book, click here.
