Tamamura Kazaburo:
Views in the Land of the Rising Sun, Kobe, Japan, Tamamura, nd (c1906), oblong 5 1/2 x 15 1/4 in (14 x 39 cm), brown paper covers, 22 pp. This book is composed of 22 hand colored collotype photographs by "Tamamura." Each photograph has an English caption. The collotype image areas measure 3 1/4 x 11 1/4 inches. The collotypes are protected with tissue guards. There is no colophon. The cover page indicates "Collotyped and Painted by Tamamura, The Photographer, Kobe, Japan." Kozaburo Tamamura (1856-1923?) was a foremost Japanese photographer and he produced hand colored collotype photograph souvenir albums.
