Tajima, Shiichi (editor):
Masterpieces by Sesshu, Tokyo, The Shimbi Shoin, 1910, folio (19 1/2 x 13 3/8 in - 49.5 x 34 cm), decorated silk covers with beveled edges, tied with purple string, front cover with paste on title in Japanese, decorative silk covering on spine, top and bottom edges with gilt, 60 plates (11 color woodblock plates and 49 black and white collotype plates). High quality thick paper stock pages (only one side used) used on all plates. Color woodblock plates are tipped into a recessed area on the page. The collotype plates are printed directly on the page. This volume is devoted to the work Sesshu. The books starts with five folded pages of thin paper. One folded page has the list of illustrations on one side and is blank on the other. This is followed by one folded page which provides information on Sesshu. Next are three folded pages which provide a "Brief Explanation on the Reproductions." The plates are preceded by a descriptive tissue guard. The plates vary in the size of the image area..

Issued with a decorated cloth folding case.
