The each volume is are accompanying by a cardboard case (wrap-around or slip-in) with a katazome title. Limited editions of 100 or 200 copies. Individual copies are not numbered however.

No. 1 (1954). 58 small size Serizawa katazome stencils tipped, at the top, to 30 pages. In volume number 1 the title is tipped onto to the front cover. The stencil art includes: the Goddess of Mercy (1), book titles (3), book plates (16), match labels (18), address book covers (16), New Year cards (2). The title page (1) and colophon (1) are also stencil art tipped to page.. The pages are unnumbered and the title page and colophon page are included in the total of 30 pages. The largest stencil art is the colophon and it measures 12 x 12 cm. The smallest stencil art measures 4.5 x 5 cm and is the match labels. The stencil art is protected by small tissue guards that are inserted loose between the pages. The case for volume number 1 is a warp-around cardboard case with a tipped on katazome label. The colophon dates this book 1954.1 and notes it is limited to 100 copies. An inventory by stencil and page as listed in the contents page is here.

Two folded inserts are sometimes found in Volume 1. The inserts are present with this book and pictured here.

General Comments Regarding this Set of Books. I believe that this is a set of four volumes that were published during the period from 1954 through 1964. I have only actually confirmed volumes No. 1, 2 and 4. The books are the same size and bound in the same manner. This set is a collection of Serizawa's "sho'hinshu" works (small works like bookplates, matchbox covers, book covers, New Year's cards, etc).

No. 1 (January, 1954). 58 small size Serizawa katazome stencils tipped, at the top, to 20 pages. Wrap-around case. Contents insert. Loose tissue guards. Limited to 100 unnumbered copies.

No. 2 (August, 1955). 29 small size Serizawa katazome stencils tipped, at the top, to 29 pages. Slip-in case. Contents and Serizawa bibliography insert. No tissue guards. Limited to 200 unnumbered copies.

No. 3. Information not available.

No. 4. (1962) 55 small size Serizawa katazome stencils tipped to 36 pages. I do not know if the title page and colophon katazome are included in this count but I presume that they are. Limited to 200 unnumbered copies.

*Nobiru Gajo Book Construction Technique. This is an accordion (orihon) type book composed of double-leaved album pages. It is similar to the nori-ire gajo (single sheets) technique but it employs two separate pieces of paper for each page (not one as in nori-ire gajo). Each page is folded in half and then they are tipped together at both the fore edge (outside edge) and back edge (spine edge). Because all of the pages (including the adjacent folded pages) are joined together at the back edge (spine edge), they can not be folded out accordion style.
