Ogawa, K. (Kazumasa)
Scenes in the Eastern Capital of Japan, Tokyo (Hiyoshicho), 1912, 3rd Edition, 4to (9 x 12 in - 23 x 30.5 cm), illustrated covers with gray cloth spine and gilt Japanese lettering, beveled edges, 107 unpaginated full page plates. All plates are halftones (2 color, 105 black and white). All plates have descriptive information in Japanese in the margin and have a brief English descriptive caption. There is a one page English preface and Japanese language preface and listing of plates. The book is in a vertical format and reads Japanese style (from right to left and back to front). An excellent view of Tokyo in the early 1900s by the renowned photographer, publisher and printer, Kasumasa Ogawa.

On the cover of the 3rd and 4th editions (perhaps the earlier editions also), the word "Capital" is spelled with an "I" instead of an "L". The correct spelling appears on the title page.
