Great Masters of Ukiyoe, Calendar for 1911, large 18mo (7 3/8 x 4 7/8 in - 18.8 x 12.3 cm), medium size for a Hasegawa book, calendar published in a book form, plain paper, 5 folded pages, 10 pages total including covers. Internally, the right hand page has two monthly calendars and lists the name of the Ukiyoe artist(s). On that page you find one or two woodblock reproductions of the artist's work. The right hand page has one monthly calendar and two woodblock reproductions. There are a total of 17 Ukiyoe school woodblocks reproduced in miniature (12 on calendar pages and two on the covers). The artists represented in the woodblock reproductions are:

  • January, February and March - Katsushika Hokusai (2 pages, 4 images)
  • April, May and June - Ichiryusai Hiroshige (2 pages, 4 images)
  • July, August and September - Kitagawa Utamaro (2 pages, 4 images)
  • October, November and December - Suzuki Harunobu, Utagawa Toyoharu and Kuwagata Keisai (2 pages, 3 images)
